Kathleen E. Cassidy is an experienced criminal defense lawyer. Kate has represented clients charged with or under investigation for a wide variety of criminal conduct including securities fraud and wire fraud, tax fraud, RICO, internet gambling offenses, bid-rigging, bribery, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations. Kate has extensive experience representing defendants in state and federal criminal matters that either went to trial or achieved a favorable resolution shortly before trial. Kate also routinely represents witnesses and other individuals who need counsel to guide them safely through the experience of responding to a grand jury subpoena or request for testimony or information. She has also represented clients in regulatory investigations and proceedings before the SEC and FINRA. Kate has significant experience in conducting internal investigations on behalf of corporations and audit committees, and conversely, in representing employees who are being interviewed in internal investigations.

Prior to joining the firm, Kate was an associate in the New York office of a national law firm, where she also focused on the representation of individuals in criminal and regulatory matters and conducting corporate internal investigations.

Kate was selected as a 2019 and 2020 NY Metro Super Lawyer in the area of White Collar Criminal Defense and was included in the 2013 through 2018 NY Metro Super Lawyers–Rising Stars Edition for White Collar criminal Defense. Kate is a member of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers, and is currently a member of the Board of that organization.
